Using a Local Web Design Company

When it becomes time for your company to get a well designed and well developed website many people may look past the local web design companies. When in truth, there are many small local web development and design companies that can design, build and develop better web sites than the city companies.

Using a local web development/design company will offer many benefits:-

  • Face to Face meetings
  • Personal Relationship
  • Cheaper
  • Excellent Web Design and Web Development Skills

If you decide to choose a local web company, take a look at their portfolio of work and ask what kind of results they get on the search engines. Most small local web design companies will offer an excellent design and development service. When it comes to the Search Engine Optimisation of the site, as long as they follow the main practices of SEO you will have a good standing for then using a dedicated Search Engine Optimisation company to help improve your traffic.

Many local web design companies will have partnerships with Search Engine Optimisation companies. It is near impossible for a small web company to offer a full Search Engine Optimisation Service.

You will need to find out how many employees work for the company and decide if you are happy to deal with either a freelance / Self Employed Web Designer or they main companies I would recommend to work with are web design companies that employ between 2-5 employees. This way you will always have a point of contact and you know that they will have the ability to hit deadlines even if they are busy.

Using Video As Traffic Generating Internet Marketing Tools Requires Consistency

One of the tips I teach is you have to be consistent in your efforts. You can’t just do something once…or even 5 or 6 times and expect stellar results. That is just not going to cut it. You have to repeat the process over and over. Whether you are doing article marketing, PPC, or any of the other internet marketing tools for driving traffic, you have to stick to it and be consistent.

For example, I teach about article marketing-it is a great way to get traffic to your website. People will tell me that it isn’t working, that they aren’t getting any traffic. So I ask them how many articles have they written and posted and they might tell me ten. That is just not enough.

Same with videos. Say you want to use YouTube-another great place to generate traffic-you can’t expect to have your first video bring you millions of hits, subscribers and lots of bucks! You have to keep at it.

Over time you will build up traffic. That slower build up of traffic will pay huge dividends down the road.

Over course, the way you build up traffic is through your content. For example, if you are making videos-does what you teach in the video work? If you are promoting a workout routine, are you demonstrating results? If you do, then people will follow your videos and share them.

One of the beauties about videos is that, again, if the content is good-either it works, is funny, controversial, it solves a problem-they can easily go viral. Reports and articles can, too…but lots of people really love to watch videos…and will do that right away rather than reading a report…especially if it is recommended by a friend.

Arnel Ricafranca is an expert at YouTube marketing…he has a series of exercise videos…he really wants his videos to go viral because he figures that then friends are working out together. His goal is to create a community of people with a common goal…to help keep each other motivated.

Now, Arnel doesn’t make money from the viewing of the videos on YouTube…but he has created a product…and that is what the videos are based upon. In his case, he built a specific workout routine. He demonstrates some of the exercises in his YouTube videos of course, and he has other products and services that he offers to people for a fee.

So the pattern here is to video tape yourself going through a process…exercising, learning a new software, creating a quilt, whatever your niche is…then you release the video to YouTube. You then create another video, either showing the progress you are making or teaching a new step, and you release that video. You keep doing that over and over…making it interesting…and you will gain a following.

By consistently using YouTube as one of your internet marketing tools to drive traffic to your website, not only have you created your YouTube following– you have also created a video product! You can even add additional components to it to make it a bigger and better product, like Arnel’s vision of the community…or maybe it is an ebook with more detailed instructions on quilting patterns or showing close up details on different stitches, for example.

How to Market Your Business on the Internet

Internet marketing is such a broad term today. In the past it meant a banner on someone else’s website that lead to yours. Along came Google and it’s AdWords product in 2001. Now you could pay to advertise your site on Google through a pay per click system. That was the way to go if you wanted to be top dog on Google and then to follow Yahoo. However, today, things have changed. Now we have many different forums available on the internet to advertise to our customers. We will discuss these generally in this article, and go into detail later in following articles. Let’s take a look at the ways we can advertise our business and promote our websites on the internet.

Types of Internet Advertising:

Pay-Per-Click Advertising (PPC) is the most common form of internet advertising today. You can use a PPC advertising campaigns on Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines. With this system you pay (or bid) to be in the top spot when people search for the relevant keywords that pertain to your business. This was an awesome way to get traffic to your website in when it first began. The price of a click was about $.05; with a budget of a couple hundred a week you could have thousands of targeted leads sent to your website. Now the PPC system can get rather expensive. The competition is fierce, with costs per click as high as $20.00 for high-ranking keywords. It can, however, be a great source of traffic and thus leads to local prospects. You can advertise your local business on Google and Yahoo at an affordable rate with “Local Searches”.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is optimizing your website and a strategy of different campaigns to optimize your organic (free) search engine rankings. Organic listings on search engines are those that lie blow the paid advertising. Top spot in the organic listing is achieved by “impressing” the search engines with your content, traffic, links to your website and other attributes that are a part of a complex formula used by Google and Yahoo to rank websites. SEO is best left to the professional. It takes a campaign that includes website content, link building, article writing and press releases. It can be a time-consuming project if you are trying to run a business at the same time. There are professional companies that can create and implement an SEO program for your business that will not only get you results on the internet, but also bring more customers.

Social Media Marketing is the new kid on the block. Social media refers to sites such as MySpace, Facebook, Plurk, Twitter, FriendFeed and the like. This is where people gather to share their thoughts and ideas, what they are doing, share their hobbies, interests, and brag about themselves and their families. It’s where your customers “hang out”. It is the new local pub, pool hall and bowling alley. Instead of slapping your add up on the local pubs bulletin board, or placing your ad in the local penny saver, you now can place your ad on the social media sites. Not only do you create your own “space” on these sites, you can also place an ad on sites such as Facebook, MySpace and others. You are able to interact with your customers in a way that you never could before. You can answer their questions in a timely manner; even hold conversations with them online. Prospects will look to you as the expert in the business. They will come to trust you and desire your advice, which will most likely lead to a sale. It is the newest and fastest growing type of Internet marketing. Social media marketing is an essential part of any well-rounded Internet marketing program.

Website Design & Development is where it all begins. Before you can embark on any type of Internet marketing be sure you have a good website. You can bring thousands to your site, but what happens next depends on the quality of your website presence. A professionally designed website is essential today. A site that not only is appealing to the “eye”, but to the search engines as well (SEO services suggested during this process). This is accomplished through website content and a lot of other ‘material’ that are programmed into the site. That is why it is best to use a professional website design company that specializes in website optimization.

Internet Marketing Business Opportunities - Try Niche Marketing

As you look to start an internet marketing business you will find that there are numerous options and opportunities for you to choose from. You can get into virtually any field imaginable as long as there is public appeal. But if you really want to succeed on the internet it is worth looking into niche marketing.

Niche marketing consists of targeting a specific crowd of people and producing products that are meant for this crowd. Instead of presenting products to anybody and everybody, you will be focusing on a specific group of people that are actually looking for what you have to offer.

There is a remarkable benefit that you can narrow down your promoting efforts and concentrate on a targeted group of people. You may be thinking that this reduces the amount of sells you can potentially earn with a smaller marketing group. This is not the case. It just helps you not to waste your time promoting to non-targeted people who have no interest in what you are selling.

In order to get going with niche marketing there are three things you need to take care of. The number one thing you should do is to find a right niche for your needs. Think about what you are interested in and what other people are appealed to at the same time. You may want to write down some ideas of things you would enjoy promoting. Then start researching the market and seeing what people are actually buying.

After you have found your niche, you must select the products you want to sell with your new internet marketing business. Try to think what kind of products people might be looking for. If you want to start your own internet business you need to remember that you will be shipping the product and ordering them in yourself. The easier option might be to join some niche program and get a little bit more flexibility.

The last step to your niche marketing is determining how you will promote your business and product to your target market. There are several free methods you can pursue including posting in forums, writing in blogs and writing articles. These are just a few of the many ways you can appeal directly to a specific niche.

Niche marketing is the way to go when starting an internet marketing business. It will reduce the amount of rejections you receive while increasing your overall income. The key is finding the right market, coming up with an appealing product, and determining what the best method is to promote to your target market.
